Sunday Gatherings

Our community meets together most Sundays at the Sele Farm Community Centre, Hertford.

We aim to start our meeting at 10.30a.m. The fact that it is normally 10.40a.m. when we commence is a reflection of our relaxed and informal style!

We have a different team at "the front" each Sunday: leading the service through is down to the "presider". Then there is someone else who leads the music and singing part of the meeting. Our musical worship is also informal and varied in style, from classic hymns to contemporary choruses, usually led by a small band of two or three people. Finally we allocate another person to give the talk or sermon. Equally important are the roles of the Sunday School leaders, and the team who sets up the hall, welcomes people and serves coffee.

So as you can see, there are ample opportunities to serve God by serving each other and we love to see people getting involved in different ways. We believe in "every member in ministry" and encourage people to use and develop their gifts.

Our Sunday gathering is usually finished by midday when we enjoy fellowship with each other over a cup of coffee and a biscuit.

You are most welcome to come and join us on a Sunday!

What about my kids?

Children stay with their parent or grown-up at the start of the service for the welcome, songs and notices. We really value worshipping God all together as a family.

Getting Connected

Small Groups (called Life Groups)

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our Life Groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have two Life Groups that meet in the week, both of them in the evening. Check out Small Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.
