The staff at the Pines pre-school bring a wealth of training and experience to caring for the children we have with us. We work closely together, sharing a belief that given the right environment, young children can develop as individuals with a love of learning, and the confidence to build meaningful relationships with their peers and adults.
We aim to provide this experience by placing emphasis on key skills such as speaking and listening to one another and developing in the children a sense of empathy and co-operation. All our children are equally valued, which helps develop a strong sense of worth and self-esteem. Thus they gain the confidence to explore and investigate their world and make the most of opportunities to learn and develop.
We pride ourselves on the family feel to our setting – the staff work closely together and look out for each other, they are mostly mothers themselves and care for the children with that background in mind, and we aim to support the whole family during the time a child is with us at the pre-school.
We are always seeking to improve on the experience which we offer to the children and families we serve. We work closely with the Family Centre. We consistently send our staff on training courses and awareness sessions to build their knowledge. We consistently seek to evaluate and improve the way we operate as a pre-school.
